For the last few weeks in Social Studies, we've been researching: Custom / Traditional Practices. The Tradition I researched was 'Samoan Chief (Matai)'. I chose this tradition because some of my family members have or are receiving a title this year. So I thought it'll be interesting just to research about this Tradition. I find it interesting because a family member is able to have the responsibility of the whole family, including extended. Another interesting aspect I learned from this tradition is, I never knew women were able to receive a title. Although it doesn’t occur as often anymore, it’s awesome to know they were able to. So last week I presented my presentation. I felt proud of myself for doing what I did. Although I think I could’ve improved on some eye contact and speaking more clearly and louder.
