Donald Trump and the US elections

WALT: Compare and Contrast the differences between peoples views.

This week my literacy group have reading an article based on the Donald Trump elections. I have learnt a lot about the elections from reading this article, and seeing what the republicans believe in and the democrats, to me its pretty sad to see what the Republicans think and believe. Only because they are willing to  help a minority of people which seems to be the wealthy. Whereas the Democrats are willing to help the majority of people. We looked at Politics this week because we are voting for our Auckland Mayor.

The Strength of Roots.

On Monday we were introduced to our new reading task for the week. We were given a story called 'The strength of Roots'. Our Walt this week is to identify language features of the text and sentence types such as Metaphors, Similes, Personification, Complex, Precise Verbs and so on. The story had a lot of descriptive writing in it. It's about a young boy in Samoa at the plantation. When all of a sudden heavy waves dragged him down into the rough water.

The Broad Street Killer

Description of Learning :

This article is very interesting. the title is named broad street killer, so I thought it was a human murderer that had been killing people in the streets. Turns out, that it is a virus that caused people from dying. That was the killer. In 1854 London was a place you wouldn't of wanted to live in. Till this day Broad Street still exists.

Bonded Labourers

Description of Learning ... In this text I learnt a lot of how the life of children and adults are in Bangladesh. It's very sad that some children don't get to go to school like I do. Some children start working when they are four till seventeen, and these children work dangerous jobs. Some work to make, cigarettes, matches and clothes which I think is pretty dangerous.

WALT: use language that that paints a picture in the mind of our reader.

If I could eat this very tasty chocolate every twice a week for a snack it would be awesome.

The new Dairy Milk Jelly popping candy is awesome You can find this at supermarkets and Dairies
It is a combination of bubbling candy and a bit of normal candy in there. It is wrapped with paper plastic.

As soon as I got a piece of this chocolate i already knew how delicious it was going to be. I took a piece of chocolate and stuffed it in my mouth and i felt bubbles bubbling all through my mouth, and the delicious taste of the chocolate melting. It felt like I already had  a lot of the chocolate.

If I we’re to improve this chocolate to make it even better I would make the taste of the chocolate a bit more tastier.  Other than that i think the chocolate is perfect.

Overall what a wonderful chocolate. I would give a rate of nine out of ten. It is a nice chocolate but it is not the best chocolate.
